Hobbit Society Meeting

This is way past due but my understanding of time is clearly non-existent. I went to the first meeting of the semester and it's all coming back at this point. The first meeting was really just everyone going around and talking about what we wanted the meetings to be this semester and exploring possible topics for discussion.

During the meeting we had an extensive discussion about the links between Sauron and Melchor, and how they seem to differ from Saruman's own behavior and goals in the context of Evil (?) or I suppose more the question of is their leaning truly evil or is it more that temptation and corruption took over a being that was already flawed and had room to be swayed one way or another.

There was also a crazy amount of talk about a sexy variation of each of the characters, stemming from the fact that Tolkien Estates is creating a new series and we were questioning what they should look like (and you know, there's definitely plenty of sexy Gandalfs out there stealing hearts left and right).
