The warriors of Rohan being able to laugh of the fellowhsip laughing in the face of almost certain death shows that there is still hope for middle earth. Even in the darkest of times happiness can be found in the unexpected moments of life. It is always the littile things thst are taken forgranted during times of peace but seem so hard to find during times of war.
